Optional classes are for everyone, regardless of experience. There are a few exceptions which will be clearly labeled in the class schedule.

Al & Leon Shim Sham: A twist on the original and a classic jazz routine that every lindy hopper should know.
Balboa Series: The return of our popular mini-Balboa track. Come learn this fun dance style, known for it's fancy footwork, nuanced movement, and fast tempos. Classes will not be progressive in material, but will be progressive in level so please note the level descriptions on the schedule.
St. Louis Shag: Two class levels for those who are brand new and those with some basics under their belt in this high energy swing dance. Learn from the St. Louis pros themselves!
Quality Movement Technique: Skills and Drills to improve the look and quality of dancing (partnered and solo)
Shim Sham & Fancy Breaks: Learn Lindy Hoppers' favorite line dance, along with some fresh new breaks.
Solo Jazz Series: Our daily solo jazz classes will be progressive this year, combining into a routine to be performed at the end of camp. Classes will be taught at an intermediate plus level- expect to be challenged with solo jazz awesomeness.
Yoga: Yoga for Swing Dancers–Center, stretch and relax in a nurturing yoga class. Bring a towel or blanket for the floor.
Tap: Enjoy beginner, intermediate, or advanced classes from the best. From dancers with no tap experience, to seasoned pros, come build your basics and focus on rhythm in your feet. No tap shoes required.
Teacher Track: This three class mini-track will help you assess your own skills as a dance teacher and help you find more effective ways to teach. Classes will not be progressive, and are designed for all levels of teachers- whether you're interested in teaching, just starting out, or a seasoned pro.
Youth Class: A special class for all of our camp members under age 20- have a chance to meet and learn with your fellow young dancers.
